Getting together with other fellow flyers is a great way to keep informed about what's happening and to check out new and different RC aircraft. Most of the events GRAMS has are geared toward enjoying the thrill of flying in a grass field setting. The Fly-In's are open to any AMA pilot and planes that have been previously flown. Our Safety Officer will on site for any assistance and a landing fee applies to anyone that will be flying. Food and drink are available onsite (hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, dessert, etc.) during the Fly-In.

  2012 Fly-In Schedule:

April 28th:  Fly-in/swap meet; any type plane;
 a few events (e.g. spot landing, limbo, etc.) around noon, prizes to be offered.  Rain date is May 5^th.

June 16th:  Warbirds; no size restrictions on planes;
“Support Our Troops” will be the theme- will ask that everyone bring something that can be shipped in a care package to the soldiers overseas (e.g. candy, DVD movies, etc.)

July 14th:  Members and family only

August 11th:  Summer Giant Scale- IMAA legal planes
but one doesn’t have to be an IMAA member to fly (ie. not an IMAA event)

October 20^th:  Halloween fly-in/swap meet; any type planes;
a few competitive events (e.g. spot landing, limbo, etc.).  Rain date October 27^th.

 

       All Fly-Ins will have Lunch Food & Drinks onsite for a modest fee. These are no-stress fly-ins.

      Club members typically get together on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at the field, usually around 2pm.

      Club meetings are held the first Sunday of the month beginning at 2:30pm at the field during Eastern Standard Time.
